Sfax for Windows: How to Install, Uninstall or Update

**Please note, the Sfax for Windows Print Driver is not compatible with WIndows XP or use within a Terminal Server environment.  We are unable to assist in troubleshooting any issues that may arise in unsupported environments.**

The Sfax for Windows Download can be found here.

If you have the previous version of the Sfax for Windows application, you may uninstall this application, or let the installer do it for you.  You need to be logged in as the Administrator of the system you are installing on.

Once you have downloaded the installer, browse to your download location and install the Sfax-for-Windows.msi file.

The application will pre-load the installation files. Once this is complete, the Setup Wizard will pop up.

Click “Next” to continue.

Read and accept the End-User License Agreement, then click "Next". 

Select the local folder for installation, then click "Next". 

Click "Install" to begin the installation. 

Once the installation is complete, click "Finish" to exit the Setup Wizard.

After the application is installed, you will have a Sfax Driver in your "Devices & Printers" folder.

Uninstall

Locate the Sfax Print Driver in the "Apps & Features" section of your Windows Settings, and click "Uninstall".

A confirmation message will appear. Click "Uninstall" to proceed. 

The Sfax Print Driver will be uninstalled.

Update

With Sfax, we have the ability to push Updates directly to you when they are made available.  Shortly after starting the application, you may receive notification that the application needs to be updated.

Clicking "Update" will go through the process of installing the latest version of the software.  You may also manually check for updates by clicking the Settings button (gear icon) in the top left corner of the Sfax application, and then clicking "Check for Updates".  

If there are no updates to apply, the program will let you know.

After stepping through the process for the update, you will be prompted to restart the application manually from your start menu.
