Sfax Admin: Change a User's Fax Line(s)/Notifications

As the account administrator (or organization) administrator, there are two ways you can change a user’s fax-line access (i.e., inbound and/or outbound), as well as the notifications on those lines.  To do so:

  1. Log into Sfax at https://app.sfaxme.com.
  2. Click the Settings icon under the Sfax header—then either Manage numbers (to change any or all users of a particular number) or Manage users (to change any or all numbers of a particular user) in the left navigation pane.

  • If you clicked Manage numbers: Check the box of the number you want to access—then, in the Assigned Users and/or Email Notifications panes: Check (or uncheck) the boxes to change any user's fax access and/or email notifications, then click Submit to save the information and exit.

Fax-Access and Email-Notification Descriptions
(Fax) Outgoing The user has access to all outbound faxes on this fax line, including successful and failed send attempts. (A user sending faxes will need at least one outbound fax line.) 
(Fax) Incoming The user has access to all inbound faxes on this fax line.  (The user can see any fax sent to this line [i.e., no restrictions]).  
(Email notification)
Received
The user will receive an email notification that a fax has been received on the associated fax line.  NOTE: Since more than one user may share this line, all users with this checked option will receive this notification.
(Email notification)
Delivered
The user will receive an email notification that a fax has been successfully sent on the associated fax line. NOTE: Since more than one user may share this line, all users with this checked option will receive this notification if any user sends a successful fax.
(Email notification)
Failed
The user will receive an email notification that a fax has been not been successfully sent on the associated fax line. NOTE: Since more than one user may share this line, all users with this checked option will receive this notification if any user sends an unsuccessful fax.
(Email notification)
Locked

The user is prevented from changing their own notification settings.

  • If you clicked Manage users: Check the box of the user you want to access—then, in the Assigned Numbers and/or Email Notifications panes: Check (or uncheck) the boxes to change the user's fax access and/or email notifications (see the above table for descriptions). Also, if No assigned number is one of the notification entries, check the Enable sending if no number assigned box if you want to allow the user to send faxes without an assigned fax line.) Then, when done, click Save.
